I do, a place named "zonker zone, culture and life". It's the place of italian fans of Doonesbury. I get there because I was selected after a competition: the best translations for a cartoon that was actually untranslatable into italian (I guess that place is too liberal for you guys here, and also too much written in italian only
Check the cartoon:

then I'm also posting at http://www.motonline.com, a bikers place.

I post on a local discussion forum for my area and I post, but mostly lurk at another forum that is pure chaos. It's moderated far less than even WWBB and virtually no topic is unacceptable. Some of the stuff that goes on there is absolutely hilarious. The admins there enjoy screwing with people and giving them hell. I love it. For April Fools they banned everybody and made them ask to come back. Then, once most had returned, they started a daily version of Survivor where everyone votes to ban someone for any reason. It's the finest e-drama available on the web.

I started posting on some Xena boards waaaaay back when eGroups was around and I was in some Yahoo clubs with the trivia buffs. Then eGroups and Yahoo clubs merged and became Yahoo Groups, which was weird at first because of format changes and archiving. Now, I'm a member of a handful of screenwriting and entertainment-related groups, but I don't post much. I just like to have access so I can search for certain subjects and get the latest news and spoilers.
The Yahoo trivia groups broke up and split into smaller groups or got deleted/dissolved. We had a few get-togethers, but not everyone got along. Romances had blossomed during chat sessions and forum discussions. However, people found out when they met in person that not everyone was quite what they expected. Some people were "dating" more than one person. Some people were already involved in real life. Some people weren't even the actual people in the pictures they shared. Some didn't share the same feelings as the other (one wanted friendship; the other wanted romance). Jealousy, gossip, and heartbreak were unfortunate souvenirs of the GTG's and even for some of those who didn't get together. I had a couple of crushes myself, but nothing serious. Long-distance relationships? Nah...no thanks. Not my thing.
I don't post quite as much on the one trivia board of which I'm still a member. No one really does now except to share news of a birth, death, new bf/gf, hurricane evac notice (gee...who do you think that would be?
), or just an occasional "Hi...checking in. I'm still here."
Hi...checking in. And, yes, I'm still here.
