bill orielly was just on saying americans will die because of france. france has stabbed us in the back. france has actively worked to turn nations against us. france stabbed colin powell in the back at the un. france could have stood with us months ago. had they done that saddam would have had no ally and would have been forced out. now , because of french hated of the usa americans will die.
my worst fear is that saddam will go to france and ally with chirac. will president bush punish france or will he show weakness and do nothing. france is our enemy. bush said you are with us or you are against us. it seems france is against us. time to force them off the security council for starters. then, make certain they are frozen out of post war iraq.
FRANCE IS OUR ENEMY.

I agree that France has stabbed us in the back by not supporting us re: desclaring war on Iraq. However, there is no way Chirac allies with Saddam. IMO, France want to stay out of this completely - so they certainly won't side with Iraq. I do agree France should not in any way be involved in post-war Iraq. And I would love to see France forced off of the security council. It will be interesting to see what happens after the US and their true allies (UK and Spain) defeat Iraq and prove to the rest of the world that we were right for going to war.

France and Germany officials were reportedly scheduled to meet today to discuss the removal of Weapons inspectors from Iraq. There right on the ball aren't they?

I agree and what you said was very well written. But can you force France from the Council for not agreeing with US?

france needs to pay a price for killing americans

I was in Paris back in 1978 when I was in the Navy, we Americans are SOOO disliked over there that it's not even funny! France has too much at stake with Iraq, I forgot how many billions of $'s France does in business with Iraq. You know damn good and well, France WILL try to step in and try to help with the rebuilding of Iraq, I say SCREW 'EM!

Thanks. That is a good question. I would like to think that something would be done about France when all is said and done. Once it is proved that this war was necessary (which IMO will happen), the US and our true allies should make France pay.

Sadly, there is no provision in the UN charter for removing/replacing a permanent member (with veto power) now seated in the Securiity Council.

With the former Western European powers no longer needing a U.S. presence to defend them, France and Germany, WITH the active participation of Russia, can and will tend to rearrange world opinion/doctrine within the UN against the U.S.; one MORE reason to cut them loose and send the lot packing, IMHO.

Americans will die b/c of Iraq...what if there was no france? They can do what they want, but we can't blame them for deaths during the war...that is irrational and all bark.

That is correct and it is called "The food for oil program" We will not be surprised at what we find out about France when this is all said and done. France has been doing business with Iraq since 1991. When they have business conferences in Iraq and the only business leaders that attend are from France, then I believe that is proof indeed. France knows if we go in and win, which they know we will prevail, we will find documentation implicating France as traitors, by them supplying Iraq with weapons and spare parts to rebuild their surface to air missiles.

Al, we are proud to stand with the Brits!

(*I even know the first verse to "God Save the Queen"!) :ggreen:

Really...we bailed out France in WWII. They were real proud
to see U.S. soldiers marching through the streets, then.

I guess this generation of French (frogs) has forgotten...?
