Oops...sorry, I guess I should have clarified that he said it in 1973, not after 9/11.
I suppose, to me, that's what makes what the architect said so meaningful. The terrorists killed over 3000 people, destroyed what was built as a major symbol of world peace, and tried (but thankfully failed) to destroy a major symbol of our military might.
