Congressional studies re: advisers testifying

According to MSNBC on the net, congressional studies have found 20 cases where presidential advisers have testified in public and under oath. The article mentioned that C. Rice had talked in public to tv show hosts about the 911 situation....

I thought that the article was interesting as well. They are trying to work out a solution to get her to testify and perhaps make her statements public later. I can accept that. I think that it would be a good compromise. I believe that the public should know the whole story.

The point is that she is the National Security Advisor and is appointed by the President. In the prior cases where presidential advisors testified, they were in positions that required Congressional confirmation. That's a different animal...
