Slept with windows open and now paying for it!

We didn't want to turn on our A/C so early, so we had open windows yesterday. And of course at bedtime, our house was like an oven. So we all slept with open windows. Today I'm paying for it - I have a raspy voice, sore throat, etc. Sipping my 4th cup of tea too! Dang......
We're in the 50s now all week so thankfully we can close windows. I think the next 72+ outburst, I will be turning on that A/C!!!
Half way thru the night I remember thinking now I should really close those windows but then you hate to get out of bed! Again, dang it....feel crummy today! And all to save a few bucks.

Well, Jeremy that's good! I'm the only one in my family with a sore throat today. My daughter Nina has asthma so she could really be under the wx today. Yes, we're going to A/C next time. Can't have her miss school.

Yeah...sometimes that's the best thing to do, especially in weather like yesterday's...

Since Nina has asthma I've read that the pre-dawn dew can really set off allergies and asthma flare-ups. Should have known better. Again, just glad she's okay. I can sip tea all day and take Motrin. It's not too bad.

Well I just went to the doctor today after feeling terrible yesterday and the doctor said I have a throat infection which probably started from allergies (oh great). I love spring but I get this kind of stuff every year...luckily it rained today which may remove some of the pollen in the air.

I hope you feel better Miss Mary. When I first read your title, I was afraid you had a burglar. Glad that wasn't the case!

LOL Kelly! No nothing taken....but my voice!!! I'm now wondering if it was sleeping with the cool night air or am I just coming down with something? Aches, chills now.....just what I needed on a Monday. And now it's raining......it's not so bad though, don't mean to complain!!! Jackie - snow? Wow, seems late for that huh? Well, bundle up!!! I'm dressed warm and it's in the 50s!!! LOL
Hope you feel better too PTTracker! Thanks all for the well wishes!

Miss Mary, I just had the window in
my bedroom open, and, I closed it, as
soon as I got up, this morning.
So far, so good - fingers crossed!
I hope you are feeling better, this evening -
try some hot tea to soothe that sore throat -
LOL, I think PBurgh would agree: a little
spot of Earl Grey wouldn't hurt, at all!

slept with windows open..

I'm sorry you feel lousy, Miss Mary. It sounds a lot like that mess I had during spring break. It started with a sore throat, too. I hope you don't get that stuff, but you may need to see your dr. if you do.

Mary...that's the price we pay for changing seasons. Believe it or not, here in Scottsdale we have dramatic changes from our more fall-to-winterlike season to spring. In March the flowers bloom, trees burst with buds, bees are busy doing their thing, and allergies and coughs abound. Just got over it myself and am still popping a Clariton D several times a week so my ears won't totally plug up.
Isn't springtime great?

Sorry to hear your under the weather Mary, here's to a quick recovery!
Indeed, allergy season is in FULL swing here too, going to the sawbones for my annual allergy shot, it's a *pain in the rear* literally, but WELL worth it, just can't sit for too long "LOL!"

Oh Mary!! I hate to hear you aren't feeling well, but that will learn ya huh??!!

I always regret sleeping with the windows open but it sure is nice to have the fresh air. Make sure you clean your filters (or change them) before you crank up that A/C again!! Hope you feel better soon!
