Sobering reality....

The picture and caption on our local newspaper says it all in regards to our armed forces in the middle east. Completing casualty cards before the war starts.

Yes it is MF - lets hope ours are far and few for this war. Its little things like this that us average americans don't know what our military goes through in preparing for combat.

When we got ready to go into Iran during the hostage situation years ago, we had to go through what they called a mobility process. You get your shots, see a base legal representative (will and such), Personnel rep ( life insurance and such) and lastly the Base Chaplain. That has a way of getting your attention. During that crisis we went through that three times, boarded planes and took off only to be recalled. By the third time we were ready to go to Washington and get President Carter. I can guarantee there is a lot of soul searching going on now in the deployed troops.
