Telemarketing Calls Decreasing?

Just curious how many of you have noticed since signing on to the no call list how many FEWER telemarketing calls you are receiving.
It is dramatic in our household. What used to typically be 2-6 each evening is now perhaps 2-6 each WEEK!
Now, I was never wanting to put people out of work, but it certainly is more peaceful here.
How about in your home?

Now that you mention it, there has been a dramatic drop in them... so much so that I haven't even thought about telemarketers for a while! About six months ago we would get anywhere from 2-3 per day to 8-10 per day (it went through good and bad phases). Now, to be honest, I think we frequently go through entire workweeks without one! I'd say an average of 1-2 per week at most. Makes life a lot easier not having to jump up and run to the Caller ID every 2 hours just in case it's that 1 call out of 10 that is actually someone you might have an interest in talking with

Same here! It's great to be able to sit down for supper or to watch TV and not be interrupted by telemarketers!

Not only have our calls dropped to zero, our junk E-mails have also declined to a mere trickle of what they were a few months ago.
Now, if they'd only clean up my TV fare...

I agree with the TV junk part. I also have received little in the way of junk phone call or e-mail stuff. But junk snail mail? That's another story.

Well...there are only so many times MasterCard, Visa and Capital One can send you those offers...I HOPE. Not to mention all those AOHell discs...

I don't believe AOL sends CDs anymore... they offer them free at stores, even supermarkets.

Our junk calls have decreased dramatically as well. Now if the major ISP's would get together and do something about the spam and virus e-mails I would be happy. RoadRunner runs all e-mails though a virus scanner and I can't tell you how many they catch. Kudos to them!

I just wish they would get with it and get the do not Spam list together. Wether it would work or not is another story, but that is worse than the telemarketers.

(*"The Hallelujah Chorus" from "The Messiah")
"Hall-e-lu-jah!

Hall-e-lu-jah!"
No more CALLS! Yippee-yi-aye!

I get them very seldom and if I do I simply ask
" How in the heck did you get my #? It is unlisted. "
When I say that they just hang up.

AMEN!! I thought they had just passed a law about spam. Even my hotmail junkbox is not junked up with stuff sites. My cable email also runs through my virus scan. Great program!!
