US Troops land in Haiti

ABC news reporting that US Marines are heading to Port-Au-Prince to guard the US embassy and other US interests against rebels who are trying to overthrow Pres. Jean-Bertrand Aristide and the Haitian government. American travelers are urged to leave the area.

Since the US Embassy is our territory this makes sense. The last thing we want is an Embassy to be taken like it was in Iran.

People who don't need to be there should get out. THey were told this last week. I wish our soldiers well and a speedy return.

totally agreed... I heard from Jim Mczaeshefski (or however you spell his name) on MSNBC say that there may have to be the mandatory evacuation of all US personnel soon.

That would be NBC News Chief Pentagon correspondent Jim Miklaszewski.   :D   He has been with them for quite a number of years.
