For you animal lovers, what brand O' dog food/ cat food do you buy? We buy Purina little bits and sometimes Kibbles and Bits! We "DON'T" buy the CHEAP @$$ WalMart Brand "Ol Roy!" I WILL NOT BUY their store brand 1) it's ALL garbage, cereal and God knows what else 2) Just because I dislike WalMart SOOOOOOO much! We've tried the Phoofey brands, Iams, Eukenuba etc...they just turn their noses up at it!

Now, another question, how much do you pay for Hay in your area? Ours just hit 8.95$ for a 3 wire bale It's about time for our Steer to go BYE BYE to cow heaven, it's about slaughter time

Canned Alpo slices 'o meat "stuff" in gravy, or chunks 'o meat in gravy for Miss Alex. LOL, she
loves those "table scraps", too!

As for the steer, Dennis, the only contact
that I have, is dodging them, while
driving down the road when they "escape"
from fences!

I used to buy either Friskies or Cat Cafe for my cat and before my dog passed in 2001.. I'd buy him Pedigree..

My cat eats Kit N Kaboodle....and since she is soooooo spoiled she seems to think that every morning when I come home from work she should have a packet of wet cat food too, and so she gets either the Whiskas flavor pouches or the WalMart brand Special Kitty, which, she actually likes better because there is more juice!!

Then, believe it or not, my mothers cat ABSOLUTELY will not eat cat food! He doesn't like fish and every cat food has that flavoring....we even tried dog food and that didn't work so he eats turkey, human food!

My kitty boos eat pretty much whatever I but them, usually friskies or Purina cat chow. And then of course, there's the leftover chicken breasts, steak............

My cats eat Iams Weight Control Adult Cat Food. 20 pound bag goes for under $20.

Purina Beneful, Weight Control, for my Golden Retriever Hope. She loves it, since there are many flavors (meat and vegetable, also vitamins and calcium) in this brand. She was overweight a year ago, but she lost almost 20 pounds by reducing her dry food and adding drained no salt canned green beans (read that suggestion on a Golden board), exercising several times a day and no more people foods. And very few doggie treats. We break biscuits into pieces now, she still thinks she's getting a whole biscuit! Vet finally got me to see that we weren't doing her any good to let her get overweight, he was worried about her joints. Now I'd say she's around 78 pounds. Oh, I also give her 1/2 teaspoon once a day of Flaxseed Oil (found this at the health food store). Last year Vet prescribed very expensive fish oil pills since her skin was very dry. So this year I just flat out asked him if I could buy fish oil over the counter, he sighed and said just go buy the Flaxseed Oil. He knew I didn't want my bill jacked up. Her coat's been shinier too. And no dry itchy skin this winter. Of course I haven't bathed her since late November but that was my plan. Winter seems to be hard on her but this year knock on wood, she did great. We let her chase a flashlight beam for indoor exercise when it was icy out. I didn't want her to get lazy and fat.

As for price, a 17 pound bag of Beneful is around $9.40 at Target. That's the best price I could find.

When I had a Vizsla named Captain (lived in Ohio)...fed him Purina chow and Cycle when he was a puppy...as he got older Mighty Dog...and spoiled him with cottage cheese mixed in with his meals, too!

Iams canned cat food for the kitties mixed with Purina Indoor Cat dry food (to help slim them down - yeah, THAT will happen!).

For my dog, Rudy, Purina Fit & Trim.

Our Siamese cats could lose a few pounds. We have been feeding them less per day for several months and this food is better than Iams "regular Adult Cat Food."

My cats like the taste of Iams (fortunately). Every little bit helps Tom!

I've been getting Alpo prime cuts for a good price at the dollar store. We give our pups table scraps including veggies. They take care of all those spills from the kids. I call them "the floor crew." Our princess, Beauty LOVES fruit. Go figure.

They get lots of exercise and are fit and trim.

Science Diet dry for all my animals. And I give them Science Diet A/D wet food too. Although this Pomeranian will not eat the Science Diet, she wants the Mighty Dog. sheesh and figures.

Science Diet Oats-n-Fiber for the horses. My rabbit likes the treats in his pellets and wants bananas too. My Cocketiel will not eat Cocketiel seed, she wants the Parakeet seed. She also loves carrots, bananas, and avacado.

Now Ed, you know feeding the pup table scraps will only cause problems later. They can't digest like we can. Get an X-ray of the pups stomach after you feed him table scraps. Wait a week and go back to get another X-Ray. You will see the food still in there and will eventually turn to fat around the heart muscle as they age.

I know, I know Linda. At least they haven't started smoking.

"LOL @ Ed!" Yeah, after supper, we let Ossa (aka Hoover) and Macy (aka Eureka) do the floors......no need for mopping (ewwww!)

Ossa LOVES her veggies! We had asparagus for supper night before, couldn't finish it all, she got the *special treat* in her bowl, she ate the asparagus before she touched the other food!

Now, with Macy and Sweetz being "working dogs", they need the extra protien, sooooooooo, they get HAMBURGER mixed in with their Pedigree dry food! No...not Ground Sirloin, the cheap 88 cents a lb. burger from Wally World! When ever we slaughter a steer, I keep ALL the fat, trimmings etc and make our own DOG Burger! Sheeesh, the way these dogs are treated, God help them if they ever got lost, they'd STARVE to death!
