Today is going to be interesting!!!!

#1 Postby vbhoutex » Fri Feb 20, 2004 7:31 am

This morning I go in to my current job and RESIGN!!!! It gets more interesting due to the fact I actually had 2 interviews yesterday and both went very well. I took an offer I was given at the in person interview. The phone interview for a position out of town(150 miles)wants to interview me now in the city where it is. That, unfortunately for them, is not going to happen(didn't mean to sound conceited)since the new position is only 15 minutes from the house. What may make this morning interesting is the fact that I know the firm I have been working for has been looking for someone. They have not told us they are bringing in anyone else so my assumption(yes they are dangerous)is that I am being replaced since I know the guy I work with is not on the block at all. To top it, the son-in-law/partner of the firm is a past valued employee of the firm I am going to work for and would be taken back by them in a flash.

THANKS PRAYER WARRIORS!!

Well, I wasn't able to resign this am. I never made it to work. My car was totalled this morning in an accident on the way to work. Some lady ran a red light and broadsided me(which has always been something I feared since witnessing it happen once). Had to use jaws of life to get me out-I wasn't pinned by anything, just couldn't get the door open and could not crawl across the console to get out either. The impact was horrendous and it spun me around through the intersection and slammed me into an telephone pole and huge telephone relay box and ended up straddling a deep ditch. I am in major pain and on drugs and muscle relaxers so if none of this makes sense, that is why.

I do know that my new office is set up and waiting for me so this is going to happen for real, plus the phone interview I had wants an in person interview at their offices too, which I of course am going to forgo since it is out of town and this new job is like 15 min away on a bad day. X-rays and cat scan revealed nothing in the way of broken bones(ribs may be, which they can't do anything about anyway), but my entire left side is in pain.

Dennis Like I said in the PM. You were touched by an angel...and protected... Not to sound corny but it's true. Thank God you are ok and this isn't a memorial thread. God Bless and God Speed Brother
