Great song (Tommy Tutone from back in 1982), but I would not pay anything to have that number.

It's back down to $90,000 now. View here http://offer.ebay.com/ws3/eBayISAPI.dll ... 3077991790 and scroll all the way down to see the list of retracted bids. Those were the morons who tried to place high bids, but were not serious about those bids. The seller is verifying the bidders before accepting bids, so it appears the winner really will have to fork out that much because they have been verified as legitimate.

Hey...my phone number in Oxford Mass. was (508) 867-4309.

Maybe I can make some money for being close.

What was the number? Someone either got it or it was taken down between this morning and the last hour or so.

J, I was in the 508 area code, too... in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. :)

I heard that Massachusetts doesn't "carve area codes," anymore. They overlap, so your next door neighbor's that move in will have 774 and you still have 508.

When I was just a young lad (and had good eyes), the area code was 617 state wide.

I remember when there were 'only' three area codes (508, 617 and 413) in Massachusetts.

The newer three weren't "alone" when these two new "area" codes came out in the last couple years.
