I've mentioned before that my elderly mother in law lives with us. It has its moments. Is anyone else in this situation?

No sorry Ed, can't help you out there. I will say though my mom hints at never wanting to go to a nursing home and at staying at one of our houses (I have two brothers). We all groan, she is a very difficult woman to get along with! I've said oh no, that will never happen. Same with my brothers or I should say their wives.....LOL Some people are just easy to get along with and others are well, just NOT! Take my father-in-law, so easy-going. Very independent. He used to stay with us for a week at xmas. He stays in Jim's sisters' guest room now but the point is I loved having him. He only wanted coffee and the paper in the mornings. And off he'd go the rest of the day, hooking up with friends for lunch. My mom would just criticize the way I was doing everything around here. Not to mention what having her here would do to my marriage! Sad when it's your own mother.......I applaud you for having your mother-in-law live with you! She must be not your typical mother-in-law!

I live with my parents. My father will be 76 in August and my mother turned 67 in December. I don't mind it because of the situation I am in, so overall I really can't complain.
