Too bad the camera didn't have a wide angle lens. It would have caught the street and the neatly shoveled out parking spaces.....each protected with a lawn chair or other piece of furniture. Everyone knows that driving over one of those chairs or moving one is a serious crime against humanity. It's just not done.

Gosh, I don't miss that winter weather and all the associated "stuff" that goes with it a bit!

Thats cute...did you take that SG? Boca..I don't miss that scene either! I lived one winter in Chicago and that was enough to make me never want to live past the Mason Dixon line again!

Thanks Stephanie and Stormraiser. They left on Tuesday morning. It took them 8 1/2 hour for a 6 hour trip. They hit rain and snow but no ice, thank goodness. I've never liked cell phones but in this case they were a Godsent. We kept in touch the entire trip. PHEW

Thanks Stephanie.
BocaGirl, you gotta miss this weather. There's no way you can get that excited by weather in Fla. I mean, how often do you set that chair in the front of your house to save the parking space?????? I mean what about a Primani sandwich??? What about chip/chopped ham and jumbo????? I know you miss us!!!!! What about perrogis, haluski and pigs in the blanket???? You've gotta miss these "slippy" roads!!!! Huh

How did you like my new RED hat??? By the way I won $100 bucks in that game. I love Happy Hour.

Karan, I miss a lot about Pittsburgh, BUT NOT THE WEATHER! It was more miserable in the summer in Pittsburgh than here, and the winter.....well, don't get me started. I remember waiting for the bus by Kaufmann's clock and looking down and seeing my feet. That's all I could do-see them. I couldn't feel them, I couldn't move them, I almost missed the darn bus when it finally showed up. UGH. No, I'm a Florida girl now. My son hadn't seen snow until this past year when he went to Wisconsin.

My worst experience was coming down Negley Hill behind of all things-a garbage truck - on a real slippy morning. I'll never forget it as long as I live. I can still transport myself back to that time- O'Brien and Garry were on the radio, I knew if I hit the brakes the car would skid, we were sliding, my friend was screaming "Oh my God, Oh my God" and the fumes coming off that truck were putrid. When we got the bottom the light was red, but the truck went barreling through the intersection! Horns blaring everywhere. It was a miracle no one was hurt.

Right then and there, I said, "I'm outa here." That's when I decided to move to Florida.

Barbara, I love you're mention of a "slippy morning". The experience sound horrible. God was with you.

My Mom, who was originally from the Pittsburgh area always said Slippy. I never realized it was a Pittsburgeze until I moved to Pittsburgh.

I know you must miss the warmth of this place!!! I'm not talking about weather, I'm talking about the people!!!! They're great!!

If you come back, look me up. OK??
