MY TAX MONEY

Why should the money I pay for taxes be used on the same thing as everyone elses.I get NO !@#@!*& benifits from it... Wether anyone has the balls to admit it or not this Ban on Benifits is Segregation Allow us to be unified at Least..yea I kind of buy the argument about religion and thats why they don't want Gays to get married..But OUR BENIFITS..thats plain BS and anyone who says different needs to wake up and smell the coffee. Yeah they are picking on Gays right now but before long..... Gays won't be the lonly ones losing their "rights"..Like I said in previous Posts there are more Gay People in this world than they realize and if they keep pushing us down and trying to segregate us...theres a rude awakening about to happen. May God Have mercy on their souls. As it says in the bible..There is only one judge

We're already losing our tax money to all the uneducated, lazy illegal aliens and trailer park trash who abuse the system and live off welfare programs while driving around in '04 cars and watching big screen TV's while chatting on flat-screen monitored PC's, eating bon-bons and drinking Dr. Pepper. (Note: That is NOT a diss to those who NEED welfare and use it. It's to those able-bodied souls who abuse it because they find out that they can make more by not working than they would by working a 40-hour job.)

I agree Shawn!!

I second the Amen. But I still stand behind what I said..If "we" are going to be treated different based on who "we" are then then why should our tax money benefit anyone. If all the Gay people in america refused to pay taxes

the kitty would a little short

If Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins or Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell weren't celebs, they'd be in the same boat we are in -- unmarried couples without the same benefits as married couples. I'm sure there are many straight couples like them who don't get benefits either. Without the recognition of marriage, there should be no spousal benefits IMO.

Yup, I understand that.
Remember, I've never argued
against us getting married, but
for the
fairness of denying benefits to
all unmarried couples. However, the way I see it, gay marriages
will happen in the future, but maybe not in my lifetime. (Thanks, JCT777, for continually expressing hope that it will.

) This country is just 2 1/4 centuries old. A lot of things have changed over the years. Interracial and interfaith marriages used to be taboo. Now they may not be completely accepted among everyone, but most people just shrug their shoulders about it and move on. Blacks and women used to not be able to vote, but now we have guys with magnifying glasses reviewing chads on ballots just to be sure every vote counts. Heck, if we weren't a determined, strong, progressive young country, I'd be sitting in part of Mexico right now and the Galveston Hurricane would be referred to as something like "El huracan de La Ciudad de Galvez."
Rome wasn't built in a day.

Great Post. It's soo funny like I said. We are the Greatest country on earth yet...behind in many ways. My Brother in holland when he found out I was gay said..so as long as you are Happy. They look at it different in Holland and other countries.

They say we are uptight in america and I guess in some ways we are. Things will change as you said..maybe not in our lifetime but someday!!

Ok this one I really dont understand! There is NO way you can go on welfare if your an illegal, or are you refering to the amount of money spent trying to catch the illegals? You dont even qualifiy for emergency medicaid if your a LEGAL alien (my hubby pays tax and there is no way the state was going to help us out with the birth of this baby) so Im just wondering what the illegals are doing right and what Im doing wrong?! Oh Ill just shut up now

When I grow up I wanna deport illegals...ya think you could give me an attack dog Dennis???

Bronnie, I'm referring to the ones with fake birth certificates and other papers. They fake their citizenship and get on welfare programs.

A few yrs ago I was teaching 7th-10th Special ed. Several of the girls were bold enough to say "I'm going to get pregnant so I can get a check every month".... Wonder if I could get a check if I get pregnant? ROFL
Bet you a new Texas quarter that SS disability denies my claim. Lord know's I'd much rather be working, but I can't handle the stress at this time.
As for your post, Rainband...I can sympathize with you. However, I don't think that gay's should be allowed to marry. I'm not trying to offend you. I have some friends that are gay and they are great people. I believe that marriage was sanctified in the Bible to be something that a man and woman were to do. The Lord said "be fruitful and multiply". I don't see how two men or two women could do that.
I'm not trying to turn this into a gay bashing thread. Like I said before, I have some good friends who happen to be gay. I just don't agree with their lifestyle, whether it be by choice or by some other unexplained reason. Personally, I don't think it's a choice that anyone would readily make. I think it's something that you are born with and there probably are countless people in the US who are married that may have been born "gay". Did that make sense? They just chose not to live that lifestyle.
Man, I must be tired. That didn't make much sense. I hope I didn't offend you, Rainband and Galvestonduck. You guys are great and I consider you my friends.

tinNms,
Don't press a claim to get SS disability before retaining a GOOD lawyer; one that specializes in disability. If your case is strong enough to go before an "administrative law judge", and your attorney knows his business, you should be on your way.
I CAN tell you that you shouldn't expect a "living" stipend at all...it took me 21 years to receive $1,000 per month (starting January 2004), and my benefits were cut four times due to "overpayments"(?). If you're married with children, they each receive SS dependent's benefits...the kids until 18 (or 22, if they attend college), and your spouse until you pass on.
Substituting can be one way to make up the gap, but LIMIT yourself...only you know how much you can "take", and don't bow to pressure (i.e., phone calls every day at 6 am, begging for your services).
As for Johnathan and AFLAC...I'd like to see something done for you and your significant other (if you have one), but...as Marshall said, the majority rules.

For me, being married isn't all it's cracked up to be. I'll be sooooo happy when I get my divorce. It's tough to be paying for medical insurance on someone who keeps screwing up so much.I can't even take him off the insurance until October, we're divorced, or I quit work. That's $200 extra that would be in my pocket to help pay bills, per month.

For that reason I will probably never marry again. I will accept the disadvantages of single life and be glad for it. I'd rather pay for peace of mind than pay for stress.

Not all men are idiots. Not all men will add stress to your life. Everything happens for a reason.
