Well, I believe that it is just a tactic the United States is using to surprise Saddam. I do not believe the deadline is going to go past March 17th. We will just have to wait and see. Am I wishful thinking here? :grrr:

Enough already! Has this been confirmed? I knew that a lot of them were trying to get us to extend the deadline but I didn't know we had agreed to it. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to see much news today.

Gale only there are some rumors but nothing official but we will know more about this later this evening after a meeting of the UN security council.

I say enough is enough. It is obvious the UN and it's inspectors have an inside agenda of their own. I say f_ _ _ them and LETS ROLL!!!!!!! The United Nations is useless and they are only setting a precedent for other rogue states to follow. They are supposed to protect the world community!!! Now other dictators will take advantage of the message they are sending.Even though 1441 was a unanimous vote!!! It's ok to hold the international communty hostage as long as your a good liar and have the skill to manipulate and scheme others into buying your lies and decete. But most important you must have a few perminent security consuel members veto the resolution against you because they have inside agendas such as financial gain due to OIL CONTRACTS and blackmail due to the fact France has sold bomb making material to Iraq. Last but not least take advantage of the 12year plus limit..The UN gives to disarm...With bonus probationary extensions for fake cooperation and appearing to destroy missles. In this convienient time frame you can reap the benifits of having the US look like the bad guys and your country looking like the victim..THIS IS AN OUTRAGE AND A JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IMHO and Blix is a moron and he needs to answer "why he held back information that could have swayed certain member states,( ie the drone and bomblets in the written report know as the cluster but withheld from his oral report!!!!        Sorry guys but I am really pissed now...

Not surprised at all. We have been almost begging the UN as of late. Whatever happened to the screw you UN, we are bombing the hell out of Serbia whether you like it or not that we used in 1999. Appalling if you ask me and is why I do not care what the UN says.

BTW, if France vetos this and breaks up the anti terror alliance, prehaps it is time to consider France an Iraqi ally and treat them accordingly

i was right, the deadline appears to be extended. i am at a loss to understand what last chance means now. saddam needs to open a bar called, "the last chance saloon". hehe also, the ridiculous un vote is delayed now till thusday at the earliest. that is simply more time to propse yet further delays.

i agree completely. every time we eat our words and give saddam another last chance our words have less and less meaning. talk is cheap, action is decisive. i guess at some point we need to make up our minds to put up or shut up.
