An update on Dennis

#1 Postby mf_dolphin » Thu Mar 06, 2003 12:13 am

Hi Folks,

Hope this finds everyone doing well! Me, so-so, that's the reason for this email. I find it necessary to ask for some prayers for yours truly. Seems this foot refuses to heal, I have a spot, about half the size of a dime, that refuses to act under the influence of antibiotics, the sawbones at the last appt on Monday said to call him if it got worse, naturally, it did SOOOOO, I called him a little while ago and he wants to go back in in the morning, reopen the wound and clean it. He says the only time he has seen such a problematic wound is in diabetics, as some of you know, diabetes runs in the family, I am checked every 3 months for the disease, the last time, just 3 days before the initial surgery and it was negative, so I & the sawbones are at odds to why this is happening. More than likely I will be absent from the weather boards and any 'puter time AGAIN.....Michelle or myself will keep you updated as to my condition sometime tomorrow, more than likely Mi! chelle. This has nuthing to do with my moving around too much however, I do know ONE thing, when he stays to stay off it THIS TIME, I will do so with glee!
Dennis

Please join me in keeping Dennis in our thoughts and prayers with hope for a speedy recovery!

Dennis - you are in my prayers. Get well and follow doctors orders.

Just ask Michelle if she can keep us updated if you can't get up and around.

Howdy Folks! I'm back but on a very limited bases for now, sawbones opened up one part of the wound, the other.......I have to go back to Flagstaff on Tues for more extensive cutting, seems the infection found it's was into the ankle bone SOOOO, the sawbones up there has to scrape the bone, sorry for being so graphic...believe me, I'm NOT looking forward to that what so ever. Talk about some major set backs, I was hoping to be up and playing golf with my new clubs by the first day of spring! Thank YOU for ALL of your prayers, you have no idea what that means to me, you'se guys ARE THE BEST!

Dennis,

Wow that sounds as painful as you describe it. Please take care of yourself and keep in touch with us via the MB or email. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you until you get well and can go out there and play golf. GOLF - and Dennis??? LOL.

That's some really crummy news. I'll keep praying for the next procedure - that it goes well and takes care of it for good.
