Where is this at in Florida stormraiser?

It says it happened near the Orange County/Lake County line so I believe it's south of Orlando.
Here's a map. You can see 27 heading N/S and State road 50 (both in the article) going W/E just to the east of Orlando. The Florida Turnpike is the red line heading NW to SE.

I believe it is near Kissimmee/St. Cloud.
I wonder if that Explorer had a blowout. So sad for those kids heading home for Christmas. My thoughts and prayers are with the families during this tragedy. Hope the other kids have a full recovery.

So I was right. lol.
I saw an eagle fly across that same area of the turnpike this past summer.

Turnpike is now open afer the the 18 hours it took to clean it up. You may see signs of the explosions along the highway still though.

My question is why in the heck is Fed Ex deliverying the military's bombs and missles??? Why would the military not have there own delievery system. They trust the fed ex guy and his wife to delivery there weapons?? Whats up with that

that is so sad to lose a child around the holidays, my heart goes out to the parents. i hope the other 2 make it.

I heard about this at 11:00 pm Eastern sharp on Wednesday night on WESH-TV 2 (Orlando NBC affiliate).
The Florida Turnpike at the Orange/Lake county line is due west of Orlando.

chadtm80 I work for one of the FedEx divisions. It was a Custom Critical truck. The cargo was blasting caps and it may not have been able to be transported by the military at that time. Custom critical is a special service. They provide same day or next day service with many features. Temperature control, sat tracking, 24 hour guards being some of them.

The news special they had on TV about it last night gave the numbers of explosives and missles the Military has Fed Ex ship for them, and it was UNREAL how many it was.. I just think it is a BAD BAD idea to have anyone other then the military transfering stuff like that

I am not sure about the missiles part because I didn't see the report. I have delivered fire control systems for Hellfire missiles to Lockheed Martin though. I have delivered my share of hazardous material and we are trained to do so. I have Hazmat on my truck at least once a week.
