Not to sound uncaring, unsympathetic etc.....but this after the media announced the day before that he had been popping over "42" different pills per DAY, Xanax, percocet, Lortab, Valium etc, etc.....is it any wonder that he has this accident?? Hope he's fine and if the Good Lord doesn't call him home, I hope he attends DETOX for awhile.

Dennis, he has had this drug problem for years. It is nothing new. He has tried DeTox and nothing works.

I am very surprised that his wife let him go off on a motorcycle.

Associated Press
December 8, 2003

On the MTV show "The Osbournes," Ozzy Osbourne was often seen staggering around his mansion, mumbling and falling over.

Now an investigation by the Los Angeles Times reports on why. Osbourne tells the paper he took as many as 42 pills a day -- prescribed by a Beverly Hills doctor he didn't realize was under investigation for overprescribing drugs to other celebrities. Osbourne first hooked up with Dr. David Kipper to kick a narcotics habit. Then when Osbourne's wife, Sharon, was diagnosed with cancer, Kipper prescribed anti-anxiety medication for the couple.

Before long, Osbourne was being prescribed opiates, tranquilizers, amphetamines, antidepressants and other drugs. Osbourne says he was "wiped out on pills" but trusted the doctor.

The state medical board has moved to revoke Kipper's license. Kipper's lawyer says all the allegations are inaccurate, incomplete or false.

WOW!! I am glad that someone is finally going after these doc's that are prescribing drugs to known addicts. This is an ongoing problem here in the United States concerning these doc's. One in FL was just convicted of prescribing "OxyContin" to a known addict who over dosed on them eventually.

Very sad for Ozzy! Addictions are one of the worst diseases in the world and probably kill more people than cancer. Doctors who over medicate with addictive pills should be punished severely. I could get on a soapbox right about now but I will wait until my blood pressure goes down. :)

I have seen OZZY 7 or 8 times since 82' and meet him in 99 at OzFest and I hope the best for him. He is a very nice person to meet, even if you can't understand what he says....... 8-)

I don't know, but for some odd reason I just can't NOT like Ozzy. Sure he's made some mistakes in his life, taken way too many drugs, drank too much, but there's something about him that tugs at my heart. I can stomach looking at Ozzy much more than even peeking at Michael Jackson. When I'm in the magazine aisle now, if any magazine has a picture of MJ, I just turn it over.

It's sad Ozzy got seriously hurt, needed surgery so I only wish him well.

Never was a fan of Ozzy because I just couldn't get into satanic music or music that seemed satanic. I didn't like the heavy sound either. I think the hardest stuff I listened to was Def Leppard and Bon Jovi.

Having said that, I hope the fellow recovers. He has a lot of fans out there.

I have met him a few times myself. Even have a photo of myself with him and Sully (front man for Godsmack) during Ozzfest. Saw him when he was touring with Black Sabbath a few years back. He was higher than a kite then. lol. But really sweet.

First concert I went to was in 1983 to see Ozzy. Been a fan ever since.

Shawn, I see you finally hit the "Submit" button. HOO BOY!! lol.
