Is Torture ok, and if so, what kind would you recommend?
I've heard a lot of disheartening news from former battlefeild interrogators, as to what kind of "torture" they are allowed to use to get capture POW's (which I'm assuming these Captured suspected Terrorists fall under) to talk. For instance: Sleep depravation...max. of 4 hours in a 24 hour period, not neccesarily consecutive. Wow......now that is so mean! Hell I used to live on less than that every day of my life when I was in my early 20"s!
If you could make the rules....What kind of torture would you use?

i hope that people here that are posting supporting torture are doing it with tongue in cheek.
while some psychological pressure (ie sleep depravation in a brightly light room) is borderline in my book, the rest of what is suggested is just wrong.
think of the outrage you would feel if the enemy did that to one of our citizens. everyone who here is supporting it, would be crying out bloody murder.
physical torture is wrong, plain and simple. the persons captured are the enemy, but we should treat them as we would hope our soldiers and citizens would be if captured, however unlikely.
to stoop to physical torture is to stoop to their level.

azsnowman...you got me thinking now.
How about this: We tie him securely to a chair naked. Next we rig up a line anchored at one end to his shriveled up manhood...the other end to a movement sensitive trigger mechanism wired to a sack of plastic explosives taped to his head. Next we set up the IV and let a steady drip of liquid Viagra enter his bloodstream. Eventually....to the utter delight of the cheering laughing crowd....he rises involuntarily and BOOM!!! His head is removed from his body and his aching erection is allowed to subside giving him much needed relief.

I don't really have an opinion sometimes torture helps the situation, but then again you have no real justification for getting mad when someone captures someone on our side and does the same thing to them. We can be pleasantly surprised by nonviolent "torture".

Ya know, no matter what we all think, these ppl are willing to die for their beliefs, the more you torture them, the bigger their *rewards* will be in their way of thinking.
LOL j.....never thought about that one!
wannabe, have you not read the bible, it states, "An eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth!" From what I gather from your statement, you'd be willing to *forgive* them for what they did on Sept 11th, slap their hands, let 'em walk away??

I say lay him down and drop concrete slabs on him. Let the slab inch there way closer and closer and then let them all hit him one after the other. Let the Scumbag feel what those people did when the towers collapsed. Oh BTW sprinkle him with jet fuel and light a match...IS THAT SERIOUS ENOUGH FOR YOU!!!!! He is a monster and deserves to DIE!!! PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!! Not tongue and cheek..but bone by bone!!!
