I finally got my pics back of the fire's effects on my area, which is why I am bumping this back up. Also they are saying that we could have an El Nino in the next month or two, which would not be good for the fire areas.

With that said, here is what I saw:



Yes that was a real sunset.





Those white speckles are huge flakes of ash.:|



Daaaaaaaaaaaang...





That was one of our thickest smoke clouds that we had during the entire event.;(

I'll save some for next time.

Great Pictures Joshua, reminds me of the way the sky looked here when the fires were threatening the area just south of my area.

Sad situation, but terrific pictures!

Yes, I remember a few years ago when the fires were everywhere in Florida. I would come out to my car after work and there would be ashes all over the cars in the parking lot and all you could smell was smoke.
