I will stay in Puerto Rico this Christmas and not travel because I still have some worries about terrorism even after the security in the airports haved increased greatly.

I'm traveling to KY for Christmas. I'll drive for two reasons - 1) I'll be there for over a week and I'd like to have transportation to get around, and 2) it will be cheaper than flying and renting a car.

Was treated to a rare Christmas week 8 inch snowstorm last year in Indiana and Ohio seeing relatives but this year will just stay home for the Yuletide with the folks and enjoy a southern "mild" holiday!

I normally travel every holiday season to visit my father in law in San antonio (not a long distance, but still a good 3 hour drive)

This year we're staying home- I used all of my vacation to be with my mom-in-law when she died and to go on my honymoon. Can't get very far without any vacation :( And sister in law needs us close by for the first holiday without mom.

Cyc, I wouldn't cancel my travel plans just because of some terrorist ****heads. :grr:

Anyway...

I'm going to San Antonio (again) for Thanksgiving, and will probably go to Georgia for Christmas. We don't know if we will be driving or flying...I hope we drive, cause there's so much to see along the way.

Used to live in Plainview subdivision off Hurstbourne Lane in Louisville. Then moved to Lexington. My grandparents are in Lexington and that's where I'll head for Christmas. :)

We always travel at Christmas--driving. I would not fly now except in the case of extreme emergency and maybe not then. I don't consider that allowing terrorists to keep me off a plane; I consider it safety and common sense in my case.

Yep, gotta see both grandkids. The trip involves going to Columbus, Ohio then down to Roanoke, Virginia. Wouldn't miss that for the world. Total 21 hours of travel time - memories - Priceless!!!
