http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/02/ ... 1427.shtml

Dan Rather interviewed him and he said that Iraq wont destroy those Al-Samud missiles.

This is a laugher that he wants a debate but what he has to do is disarm and Iraq hasn't do so.

I would bet that Iraq's position on the missiles changes before Saturday. If it doesn't then Saddam has sealed his own fate. He has had the UN inspectors playing along with him but if he defies the order to destroy the missiles then they have to report that as a major issue.

The fact that Saddam said that in the interview may just be a way of measuring the reaction before he's past the point of no return...

I agree Marshall! The debate thing is a sign of a desperate, insane man grasping at straws.
