I thought they reported long ago that all 10 (the 9 who died plus Jessica) had been physically and/or sexually tortured (?). For those monsters, it all about dehumanizing their prisoners. That's why they do it. Male, female, whatever. They don't care. They do it for control and domination.

I guess I suspected it, but it's terrible to hear that it did actually occur. At least she's home now and looking forward to her own wedding.

Wow..that's sad. But I'm glad she's recovering now. She deserves everything right now...and I'm glad her wedding is coming up!! ;)

What kind of brutal monsters does it take to sexually assault an unconscious teenage girl? I feel so badly for Jessica. I'm about the same age as her, and can't imagine anything more horrid than being raped :o :o

this is very sick, but again this is the way they gained control. it will take a lone time for her to heal and will haunt her the rest of her life. sad

 Those %%###ers need to rot in #&ll for what they did to Jessica. She went through a lot more than any other person normally does, and I am proud to be an American because of courageous soldiers like her!!!

Jessica is a US hero and a pretty girl to boot. I'm probably going to go ahead and buy her book or at least ask for it as a birthday gift. {My birthday is on 11/19} I can't believe the Iraqi's would do such a thing to such a pretty girl especially when she is hurting.

I can't believe anyone would do this to any woman either. Stand up for womens' rights. I am probably a notable male feminist around here cause I'm always discussing my opinions about womens' rights

Think on THIS...

The Iraqis kept five "walking" POWs for broadcast.

Nine bodies were found outside the hospital where Jessica was finally recovered by our Special Forces. These nine were ALSO reported to have been marched away, by radio intercepts. We now know that PFCs Lynch and Lori Piestewa were carried out of the HUMVEE, but Jessi was separated, INTENTIONALLY, from the others. These were viewed on Al Jazeera TV, after being killed (dare I say "executed"?) and partially stripped of their uniforms. Both television broadcasts were violations of Article XII of the Geneva Convention, but...back to PFC Lynch.

She was kept alive for the "pleasure" of the fedayeen Saddam in ways best left imagined, although some it has come to light now. They tortured her and violated her, not expecting her to survive, before turning her over to the hospital staff in Nazariyah....but she DID.

If anyone now wonders why she was kept "under wraps", now you know...we WANT the SOBs that did this, and were in hopes that Lynch could provide our investigators with details to seek out, capture and try these monsters. She still cannot remember, and what we have is the result of medical reports made available to her co-author BY the Lynch family.

Recall, if you will, how she reacted to darkness, being left alone, etc. once SAFE in Walter Reed Army Medical Center...classic symptoms of unspeakable trauma.

She may, or may not ever recall exactly what transpired in Iraqi custody, but...she will live with its effects for the remainder of what we all wish to be a long and happy life.

As to those responsible for this...may God grant them mercy, for they will receive none from ME. :grrr:
