It's like one minute I saw beautiful reds, yellows and oranges and the next minute they were gone. The rain we've had wasn't THAT hard and it really isn't all that windy.
How's the colors in your area? Alot of you must be past peak by now.

Same here Steph. The recent low pressure system that blew through here did not help the fall colors any. We have not had much rain either, so that could also be a factor here as to what is happening to the leaves.
How are the leaves on the mountain Dennis?!!

we've had windy conditions also which has caused the leaves to fall down.

We've had a combination of wind and rain - hot and cold. When the sun came out on Sunday and the temperatures rose to 79°, the wet leaves on the trees dried up and fell!!!!!

About 8" of snow fell the other day, really heavy snow and knocked anything that was left (not much mind you) off of the trees. I think that we are in for a tough winter this year. Too many years of mild weather, is this the year??

Be my guest, 4" the other day which melted and then another 8" You can have it all. I prefer the heat of summer, but it is beautiful. I guess that is a positive thing.

I didn't think that the color was as vivid as it has been in prior years. I do remember that we've had some mean Nor'easters that have come around this time of the year and stripped the trees clean. It's just different this year I guess.

Grass? Sidewalk? WHERE!!!

My wife and I took a walk on Saturday and admired the color on the trees that still had leaves (which was about 50% of the trees). Now, most of the leaves are on the ground.

Yep, they came and went. I got about half the yard raked and filled the compost bins to overflowing. Have to wait for them to settle before I can do more.

It would be nice to see a pile of leaves, again. One of these years I should be in eastern Massachusetts between September and December and then see them growing on the trees again between late March and May.
