Fox News Analyst was reporting that we could expect to see a 30% decrease in Gas prices, shortly after we go in and flatten Iraq.
Paid 1.69 for Prem. yesterday in Greenville, SC.

The really sad thing is, we're so tied to our cars that we'll pay whatever they charge for gas.....We may mean lady and moan but we will still go about our business as always

Down to 1.47 here! We are the ones who generally get the gas trends first being so close to Oklahoma (at least that is what the local news said at noon). Have faith everyone!

If that's what it takes to get rid of Saddam then I'll gladly play the few extra dollars. I drive 52 miles round trip a day to work in my 5 liter Thunderbird (not the most gas efficient vehicle ever made). I figure it will cost me $15.00 a week or less at even 2.00/gallon. Yes that hurts but there is a price for our freedom. Thats's a lot less than some of our military folks will have to pay.

i always found it somehow odd that the day crude oil prices go up the price at the pump jumps as well, but when the crude price drops it takes weeks to show at the pump. It couldnt be that the big oil companies take advantage of the american consumer could it ?
anyways i also believe that if and when a war with iraq starts it will be over quickly and prices SHOULD drop afterwards, much like after the first gulf war.
additionally the stock market will rise after the war as well

Hee, Hee, If it weren't so cold and snowy up here, I would walk. Only have 1/2 mile across a hayfield. But snow up to my knees isn't fun to walk in.

We've been at $1.80 for the cheap stuff for close to two weeks now. I can understand paying more for gas in a city where salaries are higher, but our small town seems to be getting the short end of the stick compared to all the numbers posted here so far...

ps - When bush talks about the Hydrogen Car, did anyone question the fact that Hydrogen is *extremely* flammable (remember the Hindenberg?)
Just curious... I know that it's still a good 10 years away before production could implement the technology anyways... and it's *so* like a president to boldly talk about things that they won't be responsible for...

actually i believe a couple of years ago they figured out it was the material covering the blimp that caught fire first. once the fire started the hydrogen fed the fire and turned it into a disaster.

Sitting at $1.69 here, talked to my sister in law in Julian, Californina, are you READY for THIS?? CHEAPEST she's found $2.10 GALLON 
:o Dirty rotten friggin oil companies, there is NO REASON for this insanity, rest assured, ONE DAY and ONE DAY SOON, they WILL have to answer to a higher source and may He NOT have mercy on their souls (sorry, I know that's NOT the christian thing to say) BUT neither is what this Aholes are doing to us. OH.....BTW, a grocery chain in Phoenix (Frys Food & Drug) are putting gas stations near their stores, there's 2 down there celebrating grand openings, get this "$1.29 GALLON" lines are BLOCKS and BLOCKS long waiting to fill up!

Oh yeah, I love gas wars! The last one here has been about a year, but they were high then, and two gas stations across the street from each other were lowering prices all day long, and they got all the way down to $1!! I wish that would happen again! I'll wait for that price! lol It's $1.61 here

Well we are sitting at 1.47 here as we have been all week. I don't know what I would do if gas rose to $2.10.

Cheapest I can find down here is $1.59. My husband is considering selling his van cause it costs him $6.00 a day in gas (this was before the major hike).... I just wish they would hurry up and get those alternative fuel cars up and on the market. Then I can take a whole can of gas and well tell them to stick it where the sun dont shine (never mind me, Im just being my polite self)

You might stop to think that the price of gas includes MANY taxes. This is one of the reasons for the wide variety of costs of gas from state to state. I know that in California they have more taxes then they do in some other states. I don't know exactly where to look on the 'net for this information, but if you did some homework, you'd be suprised at exactly how much of that $$ that you pay at the pump actually goes to the state, county and city where you buy it. Gas in Raleigh is around 1.58 a gallon.
