Bad news for your wallet as gas prices will go up more

#1 Postby cycloneye » Sun Feb 23, 2003 7:48 pm

http://www.cnn.com/2003/US/02/23/gas.prices/index.html

This is the latest survey from around the US and the average is now $1.66 a galon.

As long the war jitters in the oil market are nervous about the outcome of the war those gas prices will continue to go up and that combined with the Venezuelan situation that still is not resolved will contribute to the price increase.

How are the prices in your area right now?

In Puerto Rico here they sell the gas by liter and a liter costs now 40.9 an increase from 37.9 2 weeks ago.

While it's going to hurt for awhile, we still have much lower gas prices than many other places in the world. When I was statione in England in the early 80's gas was well over $3.00 a gallon. What we need is for the Venesuela and Iraq situations to get settled and things will come back down. Until then it's time to tighten the belt time again.

Yes Marshall agree with you that when the war goes away the prices will begin to fall as the oil market will fall big time but in the meantime people can expect more increases on the gas pump.
