Home Depot is a great store. If you are going to spend all your money and go into debt from shopping at one store, Home Depot is a good place to do it! 8-)

I know......I still can't believe Home Depot came to the mountain! Before, we had to drive to Flagstaff, Phoenix, Tucson if we needed anything from there, all we had until now was Ace Hardware, FoxWorth Galbraeth....talk about being *raked over the coals* on prices, can you say "Price gouging?" Competition is a GREAT thing!

Im busy doing my baby's nursery and have had to drive either to St Augustine or to Daytona just to get to HD.. so I like you am rather happy to have one just down the road..... Sooo many nice goodies for my nursery  I dont think Im going to tell my hubby what the opening date is ... just incase he hides the checkbook ;)

We do not have a Home Depot here. All we have is Lowe's and they are expensive on alot of things. We have to drive to Mobile, AL or Gulfport, MS to Home Depot. There is no PetSmart here either. I have to drive to Mobile to shop there too.

I hear ya Linda!

The town where I live is soooo small, there really is only a Wal mart, and now they are finally building a Home Depot and a Walgreens. There has been such a lot of growth in my area it had to happen! It is a pain in the butt for me though still, because I have to go across a toll bridge every time I need to go to the store, or even take my son to the park or a friends house.. so a trip to the store always starts off with having to pay the toll fee
I know $2.00 is not much, but when I have to drop my son off at a friends, then go back and get him it adds up... I hate to think how much I have spent on that infernal toll bridge!

Ugh toll bridges. Florida is famous for those. I believe there are also alot of toll bridges in the NE. My bro-in-law is a truck driver and he has to pay high tolls up that way. He complains about it all the time.

If they tried to use that approach in MS by making us pay a toll, I am sure we all know the back roads. lol.

A Lowe's and a Cracker Barrell opened very close to me and the Wal-Mart a couple minutes further is only 3 1/3 years ago.

Talk about tolls! From here to Key West, (440 to 450 miles) the tolls on the Florida Turnpike added up to about $14!

I think I will rename the toll bridge the "troll bridge"

Toll Bridges, something we DON'T have here!!! No tolls....nothing! As for tolls, once we cross into Illinois, then we pay tolls.

Original story....I still have a gift card from Homey depot that I received at christmas that I haven't spent yet....we have a store in Darboy that is about 5-10 minutes away.

No Home Depot here, but we are getting a Lowe's. My experiences have been much more positive at Lowe's than Home Depot, but I am sure it just depends on the store.

We have our choice of Home Depot or two "home-growns", Orscheln's and Rigg's....each equally good. Orscheln's is the only one that sells guns (rifles, shotguns and black powder only), though.

A neighboring town of ours (Neosho) has an Orscheln's and I like it too.

I've always said that Home Depot and my local greenhouse have taken out life insurance policies on me. They get a big grin on their faces when I walk in the door. Job Security I guess!!!lol
