The picture only shows a few...there were probably about a hundred all together.. and they picked an old oak tree on my folks' place to take a rest.. You should have seen them , it was like a big cloud of butterflies-lol Its a wonder we didn't get hurt climbing to get the picture* giggles * I am sure the neigbors thought we were outta our minds! Glad you enjoyed them you two.... Have a good day Big Guy, Linda * hugs *

PS...If you see me blow by, send me home..brisk winds and a cold front on its way..chance of thunderstorms... I will be hiding behind the sofa if anybuddy needs me :)

Those were so beautiful! I've never seen so many like that before.

Did you happen to see Danaus's post about the "Last Monarchs" in the Community forum? She actually studies them and tracks them. Have a look. She's asking for people to check for bands on any live or dead ones we may find.

cool ...

LOL T!! I heard the storms are going to be booming in your area this afternoon. Stay safe behind the sofa. hehe

Dennis, some Monarch's can get as big as your hand, at least I have seen one the size of my hand. They are beautiful.

We do this thing in Spanish class...we decorated a paper monarch, and wrote something on the back in spanish, and we are sending it to kids in Mexico, and they are going to write back and send them back in Spring...I guess it's pretty cool. :D
