My trip to Key West, FL (Sun.-Mon. Oct. 12-13)
My brother, sister, their spouses and I are going to Key West for the day. We are leaving around 4:00 AM Eastern Time and will return some time late afternoon or early evening Monday.
It should be interesting, just going to a different place (geographically and scenic wise). It will definately be good for me to go away for a number of hours to place such as the most southernmost portion of the U.S.

We (my brother, sister and their spouse's) left at 5:05 Eastern, Sunday morning and arrived at Key West at Noon.
Not being an outgoing person and definitely not into the "bar scenes," the activities available are 0% my style, however, I enjoyed being at an "historical geographical location."
There is one obvious sign that those of you who have been there would notice right away, it is not an area (Duval Street, specifically) for those under the age of 18... more so during the evening (and all night, but not many teenager, and especially children wouldn't be out at night until 2:00am]). We were back to our guesthouse at shortly after 11:00pm.
I had a good idea of what Harry (Southernmost Weather) did in Key West, but couldn't 'put my finger on it' while on the island. I have known where he worked from time to time while being here on Storm2K and other message boards we both frequent.
It would have been interesting to meet him, to stay hi; but there was really no way [besides the above mentioned] for me to go looking for him, by myself, aside from telling my brother, sister and their spouse's that I am going to "try to locate someone I met online from (a)/message board(s)." - {when we were just about there, I mentioned to them that I know someone online from Key West.}
We made our way back yesterday afternoon at 1:30 and arrived home at 9:30.
I am glad I went and was able to see some place I never have been before.

Tom, I'm glad you got to see Key West! I went
hmmmm.....way back in '87...(old person
trying to recall)...
I enjoyed
going to the Museum by the airport (in the old
fort), climbing the lighthouse, doing the
"Sunset-at-the-docks" thing, and going sailing
off the coast. The rest of the time, ahhhh, well,
you know the 'ole Bar Queen, here....!
It's good to have you back!
