We can only hope against hope that some of the Al Qaida big-wigs (those that Iran says aren't in their country) pop up in the statistics somewhere...but in a state-controlled, Ayatollah-sanctioned press, that ain't likely, folks.

No cause for the crash yet but there was bad weather in the area that is what I know at this time.

Some in the area reported hearing a "boom". Got this from an Iranian reporter from AP a while ago.

The plane was full of the revolucionary guard from Iran and there was bad weather in the area but villagers heard and explosion just before it crashed so there is investigating to do to get to the real cause if it was bad weather the cause or other things.

"muslim military personnel"? Let me see if I can remember...oh, like those 14-year-old kids sent to fight Iraq without guns back in the mid-80's?

Al Qaida? Al Aqsa? Al Capone? Al Gore? Al Biseeinya?

The possibilities are endlessly titillating...care for some delicious vanilla-coated pitted-plum Allahu Akbars while we wait?

They said the plane crashed in Iran and that it was an Iranian Airliner. That didn't tell us who was on board. It was en route from pakistan BTW  I was only posting what the news said

Guess who is getting blamed for this accident? That's right ...you guessed it..the USA. Why you ask?....well because of the sanctions that have been in place since the Iran hostage crisis. Somehow, Iranian officials are trying to spin this, saying they have had to fly old un-maintained inferior aircraft, because the bad ole USA cut aid.

When will it end? This was reported by AP.

Could this plane have been flying close to the no fly zone? Was it a commercial airliner? This is so sad this happened.
