Bush brushes off global protests

#1 Postby bfez1 » Tue Feb 18, 2003 2:29 pm

President Bush declared Tuesday that he wouldn't be deterred by global protests against war with Iraq. His comments came as the United States and Britain prepared to push for a new U.N. Security Council resolution that could open the way for war after a two-day open debate on Iraq in the General Assembly. Diplomats said they expected council negotiations on the resolution to be wrapped up by the time chief U.N. weapons inspector Hans Blix delivers his next report on Iraq, March 1.

Bush just is looking around the protests and just marching onward. I hope he presses the button soon.

Good for G.W.! Why should U.S. foreign and/or military policy be dictated to us from outside our borders (and I add the "local" protests in this, since the money and coordination originated "offshore" as well)?

A Point in Historical Fact

In 1964, LBJ won the election in a landslide-4 years later, he decided not to run for reelection. He also ignored the anti-war protests in this Country and Worldwide.

LBJ did not have to deal with what happened on 9/11 either! WE know the reasons behind Iraq. And that is to stop him from supporting terrorists and to stop him before he sells weapons of mass destruction, chemical or biological weapons to terrorist groups that want to come in and harm the people of the United States, including all those Anti-Bush protestors. If we do not do this, then all those people that lost their lives on 9/11 died in vain. I do not want that on my conscience and thank goodness we have a stand up President who feels the same way. Wonder what all those Anti Bush people will do when they wake up one morning having to wear gas masks? Wonder if they will get out there with their signs then?

Put all those protestors into one bucket and THAT is how many women and children Saddam has executed while in power.
