Despite what it looks like on TV, polls still show that a vast majority of Americans support the war on Iraq, realizing it's necessary for our protection. If they want to protest, protest our enemies. They could have been speaking out against the murderers Osama bin laden and Saddam Hussein. No, they were too busy aiming their anger towards George W. Bush. Nevermind all of the completely horrific things Saddam Hussein has done...nevermind the threat he is to us....they say Bush is the bad guy here. They are anti-Bush, not anti-war. They offer no other realistic solutions. We can't ignore Saddam and hope he goes away.
They think it is so important that Bush doesn't defy the UN, but what about Saddam? It's not important how he has defied it every single day?
Don't get me wrong here...I do think everyone has a right to protest, even against their own government. But I think that most people should know when it's in the best interest of their country not to do so, assuming they want what's best for their country.
Do these protesters think Saddam is going to watch the news, his eyes well with tears at the outpouring of support and decide to stop hating us? Stop hating everyone? Be a friendly world neighbor? They know better. They are trying to damage a president they never voted for in the first place.
A Final Thought:
You hate this president?? Fine!!! Shut up until the war is over and pray you aren't blown to smithereens by terrorists before we get it done!!
