Last night a couple that Marty and I have met that own a female Boston Terrier named Maddie came by to visit. She is one of Rudy's "girlfriends"

though she "was in a mood" last night! Their names are Lil and Jim. Their cat Bootsie had to be put to sleep four days ago. She was 19. Lil and Jim had known about Derby and they also knew that we had three other cats. They had brought two little bags worth of cat toys and food for my cats. We chatted alittle more and then they left.
When I came back in the house, I emptied the two bags. In one of them there were two cans of "Figaro" cat food. My grandmother always bought that for her cats (AND heated it up for them on the stove!

). I'll always remember the cans because of the little black cat face on it. The funny, odd, comforting thing about all of this is that Derby's ashes are in a box that's sitting next to her picture. I think Grandma sent alittle sign to me that Derby's with her!

That made me feel really good, even though I cried when I saw the cans.
