Somehow this collection of "leftovers" has upset JimW at HurricaneHollow/HurricaneCity.
He still doesn't understand why when he blasts people who we're "whining" because they lost power in Isabel people get upset. Apparently this tirade is because someone asked for a board where this type of activity doesn't occur and they said STORM2K! According to Jim, we are lurking around trying to get more "leftovers". LOL Someday he may figure out that he's just an Arsehole and that's why people don't stay around LOL While we usually don't encourage this type of activity, feel free to stop by the HurricaneCity board and let them know how you feel!
By JimW @ Hurricane Hollow - After reviewing why the thread about the power situation got out of control, I now understand why. Arguments happen in all of the popular message boards regarding Hurricanes. The results are always the same, someone like myself will make a comment that may come across as being harsh & to the point. Soon after ,a post will be made regarding the posters personality or some other personal shot.I see this in other boards where I may not even post & just observe the interaction between posters & the results are always the same. Soon after an argument starts someone from the 2k board will say" come over to our board where it is better" OR "does anyone know of another board where I can post my info?". It occured to me that this is a contrived scheme by these people similar to selling amway products. You will never see Bob of Myself in another message board add to an argument & then ask people to come to our board. Then I got to thinking if thier board is so much better then why are they coming here to post??hmmmm . Just to let the posters know, this board had over 1 million clicks during the Isabel situation & the reason the counter is lower is because they cut us off due to too many hits per day ( a cap). The regular posters on this board are very knowledgable & contribute alot & this is why this board is so popular. The info passed on is fantastic & sometimes disagreements are good because they can correct missunderstandings. But when disagreements get out of control & the name calling starts,followed with a come to 2k board, it all comes into clear focus, I just did not see it clearly until yesterday. They are lurking at every board trying to scoop up leftovers from every argument & it is sad. My point is ,if you have a disagreement & a valid argument to a post let it fly, but keep the low blows & cheap shots to yourselves. If you dont want to post here ,just dont post. If you have to mention another board in the process, then obviously you are not here to contribute to this board. Back to the tropics,watch the NW Caribbean as this could be a big player next week!!!
