Im finaly getting out fishing for some crappie... Image

First time i am getting to go after them this season.. Cant wait.. There not big fish, but the best dam tasting fresh water fish there is... There is a limit of 50 per fishing license and there will be three of us, so i hope we bring home a boatload... I havent heard any good reports yet this season though so wish me luck..

Will give full report when i return (unless its bad, then im just going to pretend like i never went) LOL

hey Chad good luck.

When I was down in the key's in December I decided to do an experiment, I went fishing on my jet ski...... It was alright until I hooked into a rather large mangrove snapper! Needless to say I was not prepared for the bite..(being all mellow from hanging out in the sun and just checking out the scenery) and well I went off one way, the rod went the other way and my live bait bucket landed on me head... I managed to get back on the ski, but lost the fish, and all my tackle and ended up with live shrimp all over me and inside my lifejacket!!!!!!!!

Oh well it was fun anyway........I did get a nice one the next day though

"Crappie"? That ain't a fish...try takling a Great Northern Pike sometime! Had one that pulled my boat across Otter Tail Lake MN) for 2 hours before I landed him, and even after filleting him he was stil fighting (had to nail his head to a board for that)! :o

Holey schmoley, Chad - that's a FISH! I'd have nightmares about that thing hidin' under my bed at night! LMAO!!!

Around here, the "natives" are big on catfish - catch 'em in the Tennessee
River and have a big fish fry with fried potatoes, hushpuppies and white beans. People will pay anywhere from $4 - $8 bucks a plate, if the fish
is fried right!

Have fun!
