Iraq made a concession today by allowing the U -2 spy planes fly over Iraq without restrictions.
But the question is if this comes too late for Iraq as this was supposed to be done by november when the UN resolution 1441 was agreed too.
Iraq accepts without conditions the U-2 planes

Iraq knows what it is doing. My guess is that the U.S. will argue too little, too late, but Germany/France/Russia/China will say that they are complying and that we need to give them more time.
Yeesh! Saddam knows how to play the cards. I just hope we can see past the games he is playing.

I'm surprised that he didn't wait till Wed or Thurs to make that concession. What I'm confused about is why we cared if he gave permission. Fly the U-2 missions and if he sends plane up shoot them down. He lost the war 12 years ago so why should we give him the option of accepting. There is no way his Air Force could prevent the U-2's from flying over Iraq.
Saddam is an expert at playing the international community and the newsmedia too. On Good morning America this morning they showed Diane Sawyer with children in Bagdad. How sweet....they should have shown the Kurdish children laying in the street after Saddam used chemical weapons on whole villages a few years ago.
Saddam must go and I think President Bush is just the one to do it...

Here in the sunny, fun-filled U.S. of A., everyone who DOESN'T live in (a) New York or (b) Hollywood gets the picture...
I can't speak for the rest of the unyielding nations in Europe, but IMHO they are scared stiff that if we go in, Al Qaida will attack them indiscriminately...which they will, anyway.
I managed to print out the entire 13-booklet Al Qaida operational manual way back when, and these jerkozoids want BLOOD...and don't care if they die spilling it, as long as they "know" everyone they manage to kill will serve them as celestial slaves...Inshallah (God wills it).
