How much are the gas prices in your area?

#1 Postby cycloneye » Sun Feb 09, 2003 5:44 pm

http://ap.tbo.com/ap/breaking/MGA6BHQEZBD.html

They haved increased generally in the US and here in Puerto Rico too thanks to Venezuela and the war jitters about Iraq.

In Puerto Rico they sell the gas by liters and not by galons and a liter costs at this time on average 37.9.

Three days ago the Wal-Mart minutes from my house was selling Regular Unleaded for $1.60 ($1.599) a gallon.

Not having my driver's licence; not wanting/having to drive I don't have to worry about having to purchase gasoline.

I just recently filled up at Express across from Lambeau Field and for unleaded gas...prices are reading $1.69/gal. Yes...it hurts the pocket book! My car is a gas hog too!

Regular unleaded is going for from $1.40 to $1.45 here at this writing.

Where are those hydrogen-fusion cars they were talking about? Or, what happened to the eminently fuel/emission efficient "Wankel" engine?

Inquiring minds want to know... 8)

Too damn much if you ask me ... but on this writing, Charleston, SC gas prices are the cheapest of the ones I see here ...

Right now, regular unleaded gas prices are from $1.35 to $1.43 per gallon.

Stormsfury, it's about the same here. The little market about 1/2 mile up Main St. from me has got to have the cheapest gas prices in a four-county area! :turn-l:

$1.59 for regular here in St.Petersburg :grrr:

52 mile round trip to work doesn't help much. Hopefully Venzuela and the Iraq situation will settle down in the next month or so and things wil settle down again.

I'm glad we only have a camry and an accord...i dunno what those navigator or hummer owners are doing...but then again if they can afford those they can probably afford the gas?!

I heard on the news last night (Sunday evening) that gasoline prices increased an average of the 11 cents nationwide this past week.

$1.55-1.62 mostly here. I also heard they will level off with the Venezuela thing under more control and also boosting some outputs from there and in other countries under OPEC.

That will be some welcome news IF we can calm things down in Venezuela!
As long as war is pending though, there will probably be an increase in gas prices due to the uncertainty.

Well, I filled up this morning on my way home gas prices were $1.499 for regular. As far as the Venezuela gas supply...I work in a refinery where all we run is Venezuela crude and we are back up to full rate and we were the last refinery to begin getting shipments.
