Final push from chief inspectors in Iraq

#1 Postby cycloneye » Sat Feb 08, 2003 7:18 am

They are in Bagdad now for 2 days of talks and they haved said that Iraq must cooperate fully and not partially with the inspectors.

Iraq has made some concessions before they arrived as they haved let some scientists be interviewed by the inspectors and maybe they will agree to those U-2 planes to fly over Iraq and escort the inspectors.

Will these concessions from Iraq be enough to avoid a war or it is too late for them?

I think that it is to little to late.

Hi Luis - good to see you over here too. I think that the next couple of weeks is just 'burning daylight' and any discussions will just be rhetorical; no change is expected out of Iraq. We're going in by a variety of means and this guy Captain Insaneo (Saddam) & his 20 doubles have to go. If Hitler was taken out much earlier, he wouldn't have moved into Poland, Czechoslovakia & dug in thoughout Europe, and I think the world situation would have been much different. But they let him do what he did before anyone got worried enough to do anything about it. Not this time. This guy is toast. Just my opinion, of course. And watch for the end of Hajj after the end of the pilgrimage to Mecca...

That's right - the new moon in March; many discussions about this timefame... but that's when it's 'expected' so it could commence before that date - the 'semi-surprise' element.

Luis I was M2 over there too :Fade-color

Yep an element of surprise may come as everyone is waiting for the new moon and the termination of that Saudi Arabia reunion.

M2 you wont go back to TWC?

I will only stay there because of the tropical weather and that is what got me there in the first place.

Never say never  I don't normally have the time to actually hang out on the boards anyway. Today is an exception since it's Saturday and I'm multi-tasking over here... I got to know alot of the people at TWC and some of us have met F2F. Still may drop in there from time to time...when there is time. I know the Tropical boards are popular but I just checked out the one here and it looks cool, so all you need are a few palm trees and a nice cigar and a tall beverage...enjoy. :D
