I got the new IE 10 yesterday via windows update and when I type the 1st letter of a website, I see websites I've never visited on the address bar.
Does anyone know what this could be?

You're seeing a normal "feature" of IE 10. Here's how you can change the settings so that it doesn't try to guess what URL you're typing:
