I would like to plug a new novel just released this month written by a local author and Florida native Ken Pelham. It is set on a fictitional island just off the west coast of Florida in an area similar to Cedar Key. Its a great read, thrilling murder mystery and very authentic. And why do I mention it here? Because one of the main characters is a cat 5 hurricane named 'Celeste'. Pelham is a self admitted research junkie in the area for forensics, earth science ,etc. I think he's put together a very interesting dramatic page turner that is realistic in terms of political and scientific believability.
