I am starting just because I want to see the dynamics with Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez, and Randy Jackson. Should be interesting!

I want to see the dynamics with Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez, and Randy Jackson
- one of the main reasons why I wanted to tune in this year.

Steven Tyler is hysterical.

I'm enjoying this. I'm usually not one for change, but I'm enjoying this.

Steven Tyler is FUNNY! He stole the show.

JLo...honey, glitter eyeshadow went out of fashion years ago.

Sob stories...shouldn't be a reason for you to move on to hollywood.

I have it on DVR, but I haven't watched it yet. I want to see how Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez fit in as I like both of them. I doubt I'll be an avid watcher as it takes up too much time. lol

Steven Tyler was great and I even liked Jennifer. Is this the teen season of American Idol. Have they picked anyone over 20?

Been watching since season 1 and was 100% sure this season was going to be awful!

What a nice surprise to find that this judging panel actually works! It's freshened up the show so much! Looking back it's as though the old show was stale, compared to this. I thoroughly enjoyed the premier and look forward to the season now. I usually can't stand Jennifer Lopez, but she took on the leadership role, and in my opinion and was fair, honest, and genuine. Kudos to the creators, producers, etc for making this actually work!

Definitely a much "fresher" show than it was. I am interested enough to keep watching, at least for a while.

I know pburgh! Are they trying to find someone to push justin beiber out of the spotlight? Do they think that will breathe new life into the show?

Well until they play metal on that show, I just can only tolerate so much. :)

I think he is back this season. Plus, I think it's a new record label, not 19E.

I hope someone does push Justin Bieber out of the spotlight...

Never could get into it, as far as I'm concerned the show is a complete farce and the biggest entertainment factor (Simon) is gone.

Can't wait for Fox to do what they should've done a few years ago, pull the plug.

While I can certainly understand not liking the show, it has brought us some great, and very successful singers. Agree about Simon, but watched the first episode and Steven Tyler and J Lo did fantastic. While he's different than Simon, Tyler definitely is entertainment! And that's just one show, so I probably will watch more. He was cracking me up. As usual, I will probably be behind on whatever I do watch because I watch it on DVR when I can.

Why should Fox pull the plug? Love it or hate it, it's a very successful show that brings in tons of viewers. It gave Fox its best Thursday ratings in 16 years this past Thursday, with 23 million viewers. Fox would be insane to pull the plug.
