I just found this RUMOR (stress on Rumor) on Screamscape.com, which is a theme park news site. At Universal Studios, they have an attraction based off of the original Twister movie, where you walk through a house that is about to be hit by The Twister and then you go outside and get to experience it yourself. Recently rumors have been flying that Twister was the next attraction to be on the chopping block due to its age and lack of newer technology. But then this rumor came across:

(9/7/10) An interesting post has come up at Orlando United regarding the fate of Twister. It seems Helen Hunt was in the park not long ago and dropped in to check out the Twister attraction. At some point in the gift shop afterwards (while buying merchandise) she mentioned that they were preparing to make a sequel to the first film, but the new one would be in 3D. As such, Universal may end up keeping Twister around long enough to take advantage of the hype from the new film and even upgrade it as well.

This rumor was too good not to share, but take it with a grain of salt.

I have to agree that if Twister goes to IMAX...I am in!!

Would it really stop you from going to see this movie?

Love the movie and would soooooooooo go see the sequel weather its in 3d or not.. Problem is I think they waited to long.. 15 years is a long time to wait for a sequel no?

No. Especially if it has dusty.

The last time I heard a rumor of "Twister 2" was 12 years ago in middle school. If it's more than just a rumor, then it better have some of the original actors and a good director with a decent budget. IMAX 3D would be great and I would go to that for sure. The last thing I want is another corny made-for-TV movie on tornadoes. Those are too painful and lame!

It was unrealistic but unscientific...not sure.

84% of the respondents said they would definitely go see Twister 2. I am in that crowd. That just might get me back to the movie theater for the first time in ages.

Not at all. I love comedies!

man i really hope there is another twister movie! its my favorite movie of all time!
