Long time no see

I haven't logged on to Storm2k for months that is because I was busy looking for a job before my graduation in the month of June. I've sent my resume to various companies and passed so many writing tests and interviews. In China there are few people studying Spanish, but the number is increasing sharply, so the examinations imposed by the companies that we face is more and more cruel and difficult, every process is tough and an offer seems to be a dream for us.

After the two-month struggle, I got a job for serving as assistant and translator for a state-owned company and to be sent to work in Equatorial Guinea for a period of 19 months. I accepted the job and the next day took part in the even tougher examination of governmental officers, but I don't expect that I would succeed.

But the miracle came, when only 2 days left for the Chinese Spring Festival, I was informed that I passed the exam and was admitted by the MFA of China. I will start my work in August. I dropped the offer for Eq. Guinea and accepted that of MFA, as it has been my dream being a diplomat.

I was thinking of starting a thread to describe my pre-graduation life, I also wish that all of the friends in Storm2k who are looking for an offer would eventually get one.

Wow, I'm only a couple years out of high school, but graduation already seems like a thing from long, long ago (in a galaxy far, far away...). I am sure you mean college graduation, if I am not mistaken? But I kinda wish I had started a journal or something around 10th grade, since that was the time when my life was altered and I was put on the road I am currently on (though I didn't realize at the time that simply joining a website would completely turn my world upside down). It would be interesting to look back on all that, and no, the site isn't S2K, as I had already been a member here for several months (December 4th, 2005).

I congratulate you on your job and hope it is very successful for you! Even if it isn't, just remember it could be the start of a chain of events that completely change your life, and when you look back on it, you can pinpoint it to that very day, and that very decision.
