CHAT: (very incomplete) guide to s2k_twitter commands
Posted: Tue Feb 23, 2010 8:34 pm
Here are some of the commands the s2k_twitter bot understands in chat ...
Last time someone spoke in the channel:
!lastspoke <nick>
(can be shortened to !last or !spoke)
Weather (returns the latest weather info for a location):
!weather <location>
Forecast (returns the latest weather forecast for a location):
!forecast <location>
Astronomical (returns the sun rise/set moon rise/set etc. for a location):
!sky <location>
In each of the above, <location> can be a zip code, a city & state name, a station identifier and maybe other things ...
Searches ... most of these can have a country code flag to limit searches to that top level domain. For instance "!g .fr Louvre" will search French domains only.
Quick guide:
!google [.google.country.code] [define:|spell:|movie:] <search terms>
!images [.google.country.code] <search terms>
!groups [.google.country.code] <search terms>
//// BROKEN //// !news [.google.country.code] <search terms>
!local [.google.country.code] <what> near <where>
!book [.google.country.code] <search terms>
!video [.google.country.code] <search terms>
!scholar [.google.country.code] <search terms>
!youtube [.youtube.country.code] <search terms>
!translate region@region <text>
!blog [.google.country.code] <search terms>
!ebay [.ebay.country.code] <search terms>
!wikipedia [.wiki-country-code] <search terms>[#subtag]
!wikimedia [.www.wikisite.org[/wiki]] <search terms>[#subtag]
!locate <ip or hostmask>
!ign <search terms>
!myspace <search terms>
!trends [.google.country.code] <YYYY-MM-DD>
There are also some special searches, particularly:
!sk <search terms>
will search Storm2k.org
There are also some shortened forms:
!g == !google
!gi == !images
!gl == !local
!gb == !book
!gv == !video
!sc == !scholar
!yt == !youtube
!geo == !locate
!tr == !translate
!wiki == !wikipedia
More documentation to come one of these days ...
Have fun ...
