Now, I'm curious to know - how many grandchildren do you have?

My adorable grandson Dylan was 8 months old September 2 -- and his doggie-sister Tally (my Wheaton Terrier granddogger) is nearly 3 years old. Life as grammie is good! :D

And congrats on your new grandpuppy, CajunMama! Be sure to share pictures. :P

We're hoping to get her today. The first leg of her flight has been delayed out of Nashville. "Lilly" was supposed to have arrived in baton rouge at 5pm and now she's due in at 9 but the plane still hasn't left nashville. I do hope the breeder is staying with her at the airport. Btw....she's a welsh corgi.

And congratulations to all you grandparents. I'm getting closer to wanting to be a grandmother. If you had asked me a year ago...no way was i ready!

I'm a very fortunate person to have both my grandparents still in my life. I was able to spend time with them yesterday.

We've certainly got some great grandparents here, and I hope you all enjoyed your day!

I wonder if CajunMama's new grandpuppy arrived safe and sound?

Man those airlines. They were told "Lilly" would arrive in baton rouge at 5pm...then 9pm...the 10pm...then the breeder called and said lilly would be staying in dallas for the night. So daughter and boyfriend headed back to lafayette (about an hours drive). They got back in town and got a call from the baton rouge airport...lilly had arrived. So they headed back to baton rouge at 11:30pm. Daughter said she got to sleep at 2:45am and had to get up and teach school all day long. She's supposed to bring lilly over tonight to we can meet her.

Tireman, our lives aren't ever the same again without our dear grandparents, are they?
My father's parents had passed on before I was born, so my mother's mother and
step-father were all I ever knew, and I do miss them. I never had kids, so I'll never be a grandparent.
BUT - I DO love to hear the joy and happiness of people talking about their
grandkids...and, stories like your's of adoring your grandparents so much.

Kathy, I am so glad that pup finally made it home! The poor dear was probably frightened
and exhausted - post a pic when you can!

We have three grandchildren and three dogs. Both grandchildren and dogs thrive on attention, make messes, and return love. The grandchildren go home after a visit. The dogs stay here.
