Do you watch it? Last year the local telethon was cancelled due to a visit from Hurricane Gustav though they did it later on in the month. I'll check in on it every so often to see what's up with it. I stopped watching it for a few years because there was too much local stuff and it was the celebrities and big names/acts i wanted to see.

I check in every once in a while, but like you said it is usually too much local stuff.

I remember they use to do it all night. They don't do that anymore.

I watch it from time to time..I tried to watch the whole telethon once when I was younger but I fell asleep

It's on all night here. It started at 8pm tonight and will end between 5-5:30pm monday afternoon.

My favorite part of the telethon is Jerry Lewis singing You'll Never Walk Alone...it makes me cry every time i hear it.
