Low flying 747 near Manhattan + F-16 behind it = WTF were they thinking?

Geez... apparently, they weren't thinking! How can you be so senseless and insensitive?

Ellen in Bayonne, N.J. described what she saw to WCBSTV.com: "I saw the jet flying very very low over the Hudson river, it looked like it was going to fly through our office window. Then it banked sharply toward New Jersey. But our building was evacuated because it did this 3 times. A photo shoot should have been communicated to the building in the area. We haven't forgotten 9/11, people were in a panic, lots of rumors, not a good situation."

I just have to shake my head at whoever ok'd this. There's so much panic already on the news today!!!

Not smart at all!!! Quite a few people were not thinking with the correct part of there anatomy or it was hidden!!!

I guess the vision of 9/11 is not very clear to some folks that walk around with their head up their butt!!!

Ridiculous.

Should be noted that the AirForce One call sign is used ONLY for whichever USAF aircraft the POTUS is on. Otherwise, a different call sign is used so though it may have been the same aircraft it was NOT AirForce One. Leave it to the powers that be to screw up like this.

Someone is getting fired for this. How did the FAA, Air Force, some officials in NYC, and lower levels of the White House know but not the mayor, the President, or more importantly the public? and why did it even happen in the first place? Of all places to do a low flying plane exercise you pick NYC? Obama is said to be furious over it, and the Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer called it "cruel" and "very very stupid" There was a huge breakdown in communication somewhere. Really comforting if there's ever a real attack... seems to me we've learned nothing from 9/11 almost 8 years later.

In both photos, it looks like the jet is lined up to shoot down an airliner, not following a 747 they use as AFO.

Apparently, they were updating AF One file photo. . and the NYC mayor is pissed, btw. .

I heard on the news that Obama was angry when he heard about it. Somebody needs to get fired over this. What dunce in our fine government authorized this stunt? Obama should line up the people that authorized this and slap them all at once while yelling "Idiots!".....MGC
