Mammatus Cloud Pictures

So after 6 odd years of weather photography and over 10 at watching the sky I got my first glimpse of real mammatus today... And here's the results...

they are all great photos, in all of last year, i saw mammatus clouds once last year in toronto one afternoon during sveere thunderstorms in July 2008. i didnt have my camera then :(
so these are great, thanks for posting them

It almost looks like smoke without the flame. How pretty!

Good photos!!! Thanks for sharing with us. As often as we get severe weather most of us don't see this type of cloud structure very often.

Amazingly enough this morning there were also a few on a cumulonimbus cloud!

BTW, since those watermarks are near the edge, they can easily be removed by cropping the photos.
Sometime ago, on my older computer, I downloaded software (or it may have been a free watermaking service offered by a website - I don't remember) that produced excellent results. The watermark was unobtrusive because it looked like embossing. Download.com probably has free watermarking applications.
