Tell the truth, do you own a Snuggie?

Hey everyone, seems as though we could use a light hearted topic right now. Do you own a Snuggie? LOL! I must admit, when I've watched the cheesy commercials, I decided to never buy one. Then I read this local article. Maybe, just maybe there's more to this product than I initially thought? he he (still haven't bought one though, we have warm fleece blankets to cover up with while watching TV).....

"The blanket with sleeves"
The ads are goofy. They make you look stupid. But for some reason the "Snuggie" has become the hottest-selling novelty item of the winter.
Since August, Americans have bought four million of "the blankets with sleeves". Joe Webb has a look at the strange attraction that's created a pop culture icon.
Last week, Brandon Faris of Erlanger went to the Walgreens on Dixie Highway to get some stuff for his daughter who had the sniffles. He walked out with a lot more. "I'm on the way out and I look over and there it is....a wall of Snuggies. And I was just like, I gotta get one. It'll be hilarious."
"At first we got it like a joke then we were like, let's try it out. And it kinda makes sense."
"You want to keep warm when you're feeling chilled but you don't want to raise your heating bill."
Like millions of others, Faris was motivated by the ever-present Snuggie commercial. It features the sleeved blanket in some unlikely places. But for some reason it works. "Their marketing is just so hideous... that it's awesome."
Snuggies have spawned hundreds of Facebook groups ... spoof videos on Youtube...and anti-Snuggie web sites. The blanket with sleeves has arrived.
I have to admit I ordered two Snuggies in early December for Christmas gag gifts. Because of the demand they didn't come in the mail until the second week in January. They're used every night. My son took one back to college. I guess I bought a banjo, too.
Despite their success, not everyone is sold on the Snuggie. "I think they're pretty cool but I doubt that I'll buy one. I'd be too embarrassed somebody would actually see me wearing it."
For some, that's the sell. "It's like a guilty pleasure. It's one of those things you'd never want to admit you owned but in the comfort of your own home you snuggle up with your Snuggie."
The free book light may attract some buyers ... but for most it's that silly ad.
The Faris family did prove one point made in the goofy commercial. It looks like babies like the Snuggie, too.
A company spokesperson says many customers are buying the Snuggie as a gag gift. She claims many of those customers buy another one after putting them to use.
