Well, we're all just dying to talk about last night's episode aren't we? And so polite too!!! No one really gave away details.....proud of my fellow Survivor fans!!! You're the best...must admit I did pop in here around 9:45 last night, hoping someone had posted. Still no one talking about Survivor so I didn't bump this thread up.....LOL

Spoiler Alert...do not scroll down unless you've watched.

Eric - Laura missed the first 25 minutes of it, but tried catching up. We were recording it on our DVR upstairs anyway. We tried bringing her up to speed on all the voting going on, between dialogue....it was not easy! Finally she said oh I'm going upstairs and I'll start over, this is just confusing!!! (yes homework, shower delayed her).

Wow - all the voting! Jim said this was the first time both tribes were at council. That's never happened before, so I pay attention when my family makes announcements like that. Remember, I'm still rather new at this. But very into it. At the last vote, Jim said - wow, how many does this vote make - 4 times?

The dinner......I can't help it, I didn't think it was nice for them to eat in front of Ulong. That will come back to haunt them. Coby had the right idea, let's not rub it in. But who listens to him anyway....poor guy! This is going sound very Pollyanna like but I wanted Koror to give some to Ulong. Heck, there's only 5 left, how much can they eat anyway?

Angie....poor Angie! Did not see that coming, not at all. And I could not pick one Ulong member that should go, unlike Williard on the other tribe (you knew his time was up). We couldn't believe they'd vote Angie off - she was great in challenges, never complained, was a hard worker. Well, they blew that one. Guess if I had to pick one on that tribe, besides Ibehehim (sp?), James would be it. He's starting to get to me, looking for a new shelter in the midst of a thunderstorm - crazy!

Ian/Tom - still my faves..... Just don't sing anymore Ian!!! Remember what happened to Wanda? :-)

Poor Steph when she said she was hoping for a merge. Jeff said - there will be NO merge. The look on her face....

I'm sure I'll think of more but I'll turn it over to you guys to discuss....this was an episode you didn't want to miss! I wouldn't be surprised if CBS aired it again this weekend sometime, in case viewers forgot it would air a day early.

I had read in Willard's bio that he suffered from a bout of rheumatic fever and other medical problems as a child...in and out of the hospital alot...he probably thought he could handle being in a survivor game but in reality didn't full realize obviously the rigors of daily life in that kind of game! I liked Willard but after a while of seeing him sit out of a few challenges...it got tiresome...even stoking a fire for your tribe wouldn't have taken up that much exertion so to say...I don't believe Koror will miss him at all. There was a fella named Kurt (I think that was his name) a farmer from KY who was a survivor player in the past in a game who was able to take part in more challenges and a hard worker than even Willard.

Yes, eating in front of someone else is BAD enough (IMpolite) without offering any food or drink to them...I thought that VERY tacky from Jeff Probst. They could have enjoyed their feast just as well back at camp!

I really wanted to see Ibrehem voted off...but thanks to Koror (NO thanks!)...as he blew Ulong's chances in that Saki bottle retrieval contest!
Yes, after a while James' demeanor does grate my nerves, too, but he may be very well be the kind of leader that his floundering tribe team needs!

Poor Angie...my heart really goes out for her, too! She was a hard worker and contest/challenge participant and did NOT deserve a vote-off! :x

As was mentioned during Koror's tribal council...the friendship between Tom and Ian is kind of like a father/son relationship...I like both those guys , too. 8-) Have to admit it was funny hearing Ian sing! :)

Sounds like Koror has their own set of "love birds" now, also, with Greg and Jennifer.

Ulong is officially the stupidest tribe in Survivor history.

OK... the spoilers for weeks knew this would be a double boot and that Angie and Willard would go. They believed Koror would vote in both though(and vote someone off Ulong), in which the Angie boot made sense(since she has taunted members of Koror at challenges). Completely blindsided me that Ulong would vote her out.

That was pretty shocking overall... Gregg coming to Coby about a possible alliance with Jenn and Janu later was jaw-dropping as well, and to get rid of Tom and Ian? WOW... that guy is really thinking far ahead.

Sunny - that's a shame. But you were probably at the hospital with your brother....check your PM's on that.

I glanced at Saturday night's TV schedule, thinking CBS would air this episode again, but I didn't see it. Brent is good at finding future airings. So don't give up hope yet.

Don't read our posts if you don't want to know what happened. It was a chock-full episode though - lots happened. No tribe merge, but a lot did happen.

Sunny - doing my best to find a rerun of this episode and I can't find one. Bookmark this and read it later, if it doesn't re-air.

There is no re-airing scheduled AS OF NOW, but the premiere's repeat wasn't scheduled until Late the day after it aired(Friday in that case), so be patient. I'll let you know if I find anything.

Of all the recent Survivor episodes, this is one CBS should re-air!!! It was also a pivotal one, IMHO.

I'm sad :( Angie really played the game. Why were they trying to vote Bobby Jon out?

I liked Willard, too. But I could see he should not have been out there.

I can't understand why Bobby Jon got some votes either...let alone Angie!

Key to Ulong's voting someone out is they were all in agreement it seemed like - Ibrehem was going home. But then Koror gave him Immunity! I don't think Ulong saw that one coming, we didn't. So they didn't have a backup. I'm sure there were all sitting there thinking - NOW what we do? So their votes were all over the place. Bobby Jon should be on the other tribe, he's a hard worker. Ian and Tom would appreciate his hard work. I was very surprised to see his name on votes. Very!

If I were playing this game, I would have a back-up vote in mind. Just in case. That's what last night's tribal councils taught me.

Initially there was a tie... 2 votes for Angie and Bobby Jon. Ibrehem, James, and Steph revoted and Angie went.

I just knew James was gone because Angie and Steph both said they didn't liike him and they were all mad cause he had gotten beaten in he last challenge, being knocked off the platform both times.

I kept waiting for Jeff to make them pick new teams or change them up somehow and make it even numbers and was surprised he didn't do that.

When they get down to three, those three have no chance when they merge, they have big X's marked on their backs soon as they go to Tribal Counsel and don't win immunity the first time.

A very surprising episode.

Here's the latest critique from TV Guide (I hope you all enjoy these tidbits as much as I do, they are quite comical sometimes!).

And Lordy, Lordy I clean forgot to comment on Willard giving up his beloved pants to the scantily clothed Coby. It's about time that boy put some clothes on I say....LOL So Willard going home was a good outcome for Coby.....he he

Survivor

I think I'm catching island fever tonight between Lost and Survivor. Oh wait, its just this nagging cold I can't kick. But seriously, this was one of the best episodes of the reality show in a really long time. First the down trodden Ulong tribe wandered aimlessly in the woods trying to find a nearby cave. Then they were defeated in yet another challenge by the dominant Koror tribe. I'm starting to wonder if Ulong is a cursed name in Palau. But there is the little bit of schadenfreude that kicks in when I see their constant losing streak continue while I'm all cozy in on my couch. It just makes me wonder what merciless torture Jeff Probst and co. will inflict on them next. Tonight he made them watch while the Kororians feasted on stew and biscuits and took a valuable inside look at the infrastructure of the Ulong tribe. Turns out that there is no structure; They never found a leader, they have low morale and they haven't been vocal about creating any alliances. Aside from wistfully hoping for a merge, an idea which the smug Probst laughingly shot down, they have no game plan. And not only did the Koror crew get the aforementioned reward they also were allowed to grant one of the Ulongers immunity, which they gave to Ibrehem, who was facing certain torch snuffing. And now he'll owe them, big time. Steph, Bobby J, and Mush Mouth James take note, this is how the game is played. Not by being so disorganized that you cause a tie between two strong players while the skinny little James sits there all ignored and the tattooed Angie gets sent home.

Meanwhile the winners still had to oust someone as well, at nine their tribe would have more been twice as big as the remaining Ulongers. So they evicted weak link Willard from their Home Depot shack, not surprising since this season has some truly tough physical challenges. And his departure meant Coby finally got some pants, which was a welcome benefit for my poor eyes. — AC
